Discussion about inviting Native American groups to participate in this years event hopefully developing a contact base and comfort level for next year.
Reviewed parent/student contact letter from Endeavor Elem. Revised form to use and send out to Carson families.
We agreed to use the telephone messenger system to recruit more families for our culture walk.
Janet will be making a copy of Hawaiian words with phonetic pronunciation to hand out to staff.
Arturo will talk with Judy Jackson to see if we will have additional support for food services (one additional server on the computer) on that day.
We identified two families of students who might be able to represent our school at the next Board meeting and invite the board members to our celebration.
Discussion about invitations and identifying crucial district personnel to invite.
Talked about preliminary ideas for decorations. Plants, flags, fabric, etc.
Agreed to move forward on planning for next year (Arturo) with Greg F. He will keep us posted.
