Gary Howard Book Study
Review of how book study is going. Committee felt that the overall book study is going well. Pam Bridges was here for March date and was well received. The questions she used for the faciliation were appreciated by the teachers. Positive feedback overall.

The last day of the all group discussion will include the letters that staff members wrote at UW Tacoma campus. They will open up letters and read to self, and reflect as a good way to review own growth. The letters are not intended to be shared.

Mark will faciliate a question and answer that will hopefully lead into next steps in terms of what we can do next year. Staff members will have opportunity to write down thoughts and opinions and submit. Mark will then read them without the person's name.

Honoring Cultures
Jo Ann shared final decisions regarding honoring cultures program from the district. She has connected with all the grade levels regarding art pieces and how they are to prepared.

Change for Africa
A very big success. We have raised over $2,000 and still not done. High school students did a great job and students got very involved. Some students who did 'extra' in this area were featured on the Coyote News Network (a kindergartener who raised over $50 by doing chores at home, and a group of intermediate students who opended up a drink stand in the community).

Ballet Folklorico
The assembly will be scheduled for May at Carson. Kindergarten, first and second grade will attend. It will be broadcast on CCTV so other grade levels can also watch. This event will impact the Walk to Read Program for primary.
